- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your treatment
- Avoid medication like blood thinners or anti inflammatories
- Avoid make up or skin care to the area that is receiving treatment
- Make sure you understand all potential risks to the procedure and have completed a consent form

After Care For Wrinkle Reduction Injections (Botox)
For at least 4 hours after treatment:
- Keep upright
- Do not bend excessively
For at least 12 hours after treatment:
- Avoid extreme facial expressions
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Avoid wearing make up
For 2 days after treatment:
- Do not rub or massage then treated area
- After washing pat skin dry very gently with a soft towel
- Avoid physical exercise
For 2 weeks after treatment:
- Avoid exposure to strong sunlight
- Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold temperatures e.g. saunas
- Do not have any beauty treatments on your face e.g. facials or facial massages
Allow for 2-3 weeks for the product to work to its maximum effect on your facial muscles before assessing the results. You will be booked in for a review at this time.
After Care For Dermal Fillers
For at least 6 hours after treatment:
- Avoid touching the area
- Avoid very hot drinks if you have received lip fillers
For at least 12 hours after treatment:
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Avoid wearing make up
For 2 days after treatment:
- Do not rub or massage then treated area
- Avoid physical exercise
For 2 weeks after treatment:
- Avoid exposure to strong sunlight
- Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold temperatures e.g. saunas
- Do not have any beauty treatments on your treatment area e.g. facials or facial massages
- Drink plenty of water
Redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising are common after treatment and should subside 2-4 days post treatment and even up to 1-2 weeks in some cases. Therefore results can not be assessed before this time.
After Care For Fat Dissolving Treatment
For at least 12 hours after treatment:
- Do not apply cosmetics to the area e.g. make up, fake tan
For at least 48 hours after treatment:
- Avoid anti-inflammatories
- Avoid consuming alcohol
For 3 days after treatment:
- Avoid extreme temperatures, swimming pools, steam and saunas
For 10 days after treatment:
- Avoid physical exercise
For 14 days after treatment:
- Avoid other aesthetic treatments
- Drinks plenty of water
Eat a sensible diet
Common side effects include that the treatment area may redden, there may be swelling and bruising. Itching and burning sensation as well as the feeling of pressure and minor aches and pains may occur. The treatment area may feel tensor and firm for up to 8 weeks post treatment.
Depending on the area you are targeting more than one treatment may be recommended no sooner than 4 weeks apart.
To relieve symptoms of:
- Swelling. Apply melting ice
- Itching. Antihistamine
- Bruising. Apply Arnica or take Arnica tablets.
- Pain and discomfort take paracetamol or non prescription analgesia (avoid NSAID’s e.g. ibuprofen). If you experience extreme pain consult your practitioner immediately.
- Redness. Make up can be used after 12 hours post treatment.
